By the time you read this I should be in sunny Arizona either on a mountain bike, a golf course, or on the patio with a cold beverage, depending on the time of day.  As someone who has spent more than 98% of his life north of the 43rd parallel, my skin is not particularly suited to defend itself from the desert sun of the Southwest, so I’ll likely be wearing that golf hat during the entirety of my visit!  While spring is just around the corner here in Wisconsin, and mid-forties feels warm in the relative sense, I’m certain I will enjoy the warmth and extra sunshine.    And, then … I will just as much enjoy getting back home. Sometimes our end-of-winter-into-spring seems a bit too long, but, to be honest I don’t think I could live anywhere but here in Wisconsin. In fact, I’m also certain that by the end of a week in Arizona, I will be reminded of how grateful I am to live somewhere where it is not so hot, dry and dusty! It’s always nice to visit these exotic places, but as Dorothy said “there’s no place like home.
